Firefighters extricated one of the victims in the Livingston Street crash, which occurred just before 7 p.m.
The four most seriously injured were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center. Two others were taken to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and HUMC at Pascack Valley in Westwood.
Airbags deployed and all were wearing seat belts, responders said.
Responding were Norwood EMS, police and firefighters, the Closter Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Corps and firefighters and an ambulance crew from Harrington Park.
A paramedic unit from HUMC at Pascack assisted in treating and transporting two of the patients, responders said.
